EVALUATION SYSTEM (as per CBSE Rules)

CBSE Guidelines for evaluation in Junior and Senior School.
  • Students are required to appear for all the assessments during the year.
  • In case of absence due to illness, a doctor’s certificate will be required.
  • Absence from assessments for any other reason, therefore, will not be permitted.
  • The student’s promotion is mainly based on the Continuous Evaluation. It includes various other aspects of child development along with Scholastic and Co-scholastic areas. Other aspects include Work Education, Art Education, Attitude and Values, Health and Physical Education etc.
  • Students will get only grades for their performance.
  • Students found using unfair means during the Formative Assessment and Summative Assessments will be marked zero in that subject. These students will not be eligible for any academic awards or school appointments.

Classes I – IV

  • No terminal examination would be held in these classes. Weekly worksheets will be held in all subjects according to the schedule given to students.
  • The student’s progress in oral and written class work and projects will be assessed and recorded.
  • A grading system is used for all academic subjects in Classes I – IV.
  • Classes V and above

    • CBSE guidelines will be followed.
    1. On arrival, the student shall reports to the hostel warden or any other official authorized by the Principal and will take possession of the room after signing the inventory of the furniture, electrical and other items.
    2. Boarders are permitted to stay in the college during the academic session only, and have to vacate their rooms during the summer vacation unless there is special permission of the warden.
    3. Every student should stay in the accommodation allotted to him by the warden. Inter change/clubbing/shifting of furniture (bed, chair, table, etc.) from one room to another or common room is strictly prohibited.
    4. A student should check the fittings in his room at the time of occupation. If there is any deficiency, or inadequacy, it should be brought to the notice of the Hostel staff. He shall be responsible for the fittings and shall see to it that they are in order at the time of handing over charge of the room when he leaves the hostel.
    5. A student once admitted in the hostel continues to be a hostel inmate throughout the academic session; he has to pay the room rent and dues for the full academic year in advance at the rates decided by the college/Society.
    6. A student is responsible for all his belongings. The college will not be responsible for any loss incurred due to his negligence, theft or on any other reason what so ever.
    7. Students shall not leave the hostel for out-of-station visits without prior written permission of the warden.
    8. All boarders shall be responsible for the furniture and fittings of the room allotted to them and in case of Any loss or damage to the furniture, the amount will be deducted from the caution money, and if the damages in more than this, he shall have to deposit it.
    9. A Student shall be allowed to go out of hostel premises, only in case of an emergency and only with parents/local guardian with prior permission of warden.
    10. A student is not allowed to use cell phones, 1-pods. Cameras or any other electronic item inside hostel premises. In case, a student is found to be in possession of any such item, strict disciplinary action will be taken by college administration.
    11. No parent/local guardian shall be allowed to enter hostel premises without presenting visitor's card.
    12. Parents will not be allowed to supply any kind of food item to their ward.
    13. Parents will not be allowed to visit off and on their wards on regular basis. They can visit their wards only on prescribed days & timings allotted by the college administration. In case of any medical problem hosteller’s parents are required to submit the medical report to the hostel warden
    14. Parents are required to mention the medical illness, allergies or any other kind of medical problem of their wards at the time of admission.
    15. In case, a student is found to be suffering from any kind of serious ailment, which was not declared at the time of admission, the student will be declared medically unfit to live in hostel & the admission shall stand cancelled.
    16. No phone call will be allowed from hostel in any case. However, in a case of emergency competent authority from hostel will make a call to the student's parents.
    17. No phone calls of student's family will be entertained by the hostel staff, As it causes disturbance to the concerned student.
    18. Parents are required to co-operate with the security staff always. It is for Their wards' safety and security.
    19. Parents are supposed to switch off their cell phones inside hostel Visiting area. In case a hosteller is found using his parent's Cell phone, strict disciplinary action will be taken against Both of them.
